My own experience of HMC.
Just over a year a year ago I had to call 911 for an ambulance because I was feeling really unwell. This was after fighting an infection that started around Christmas time 2018 after I was bitten by a bug on my ankle.
The ambulance ride wasn't fun but was so ill I didn't care. I was taken straight into the EMS and was diagnosed very quickly with sepsis and sent into the ICU. Six days later I was out of there after experiencing some of the most professional and caring treatment from the HMC medical staff. They saved my life and I am forever grateful for that. I won't hear a bad word against the doctors, nurses and even the people who deliver food and clean the place. All of them were exceptional.
The admin side is very different. They spelled my name wrong (it's not a difficult name to spell) and because of that, there was a delay in administrating the medicine I needed because my name didn't match what was on my insurance. Even after that, the hospital admin couldn't figure out how to correct my name in all the bills I received afterward despite being told several times by them not to worry, they'll fix it.
How all the staff at HMC do their job so well despite the admin they have to put up with makes me respect them even more.
