* WHEN...Until 6 PM HST this evening, with the strongest winds
expected later this morning through the afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Winds this strong are capable of downing trees and
causing power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should use extra caution, especially for high profile
vehicles.

.Strong trade winds will continue to produce rough, elevated surf
along east facing shores of the Hawaiian Islands through early
Saturday morning. As the trades begin to weaken Saturday, expect
the choppy surf to slowly subside along east facing shores this
weekend.

and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming
difficult and dangerous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by
ocean safety officials, and exercise caution. Know your limits
and seek ocean recreation areas best suited for your abilities. If
in doubt, don`t go out.
