Kim charged, ethics complaint, so what?
#5
On other news about violations that may relate to the Mauna Kea protests:

An independent audit of the Hawaiian Affairs office last month identified as much as $7.8 million in potentially fraudulent, wasteful or abusive spending.

OHA provided substantial monetary support for the protestors at the Mauna Kea Access Road. The state of Hawaii wanted to audit OHA over expenditures, but OHA won’t comply:

The Hawaii state auditor suspended an audit of limited liability companies owned by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs after the board of trustees denied full access to the minutes of its meetings.

So is it possible the illegal camp and Access Road blockade was funded by unlawful payments from OHA?  They’re legally required to allow an audit, but they refuse.  $7.8 million covers a lot of territory.  What exactly are they hiding?
