Don't worry, there's a vaccine!

Maybe the masks are to obfuscate the facial paralysis?

More seriously, the same doctor that told me the mRNA vaccines aren't known to stop the disease from spreading said that based on projections they would need 70% coverage of the population before the social distancing and masks could be done away with, and that was projected to be around September 2021.

The Novavax vaccine may get approval in the first quarter of 2021. It is a "traditional" vaccine that should stop disease spread. It is also cheaper to produce and transport as it doesn't need to be kept at nearly -100 F like some of the others.

The Novavax vaccine isn't as weird as the mRNA vaccine but it does use insects and a chemical from a tree in it's vaccine. I think its based on success they have with a new type of flu vaccine that is in last stage testing that apparently actually works, unlike the flu shots most of us get.
