At least they’ve announced their plans this time. 10 or 15 years ago my phone stopped making calls & texts. AT&T said my phone was broken. Except I had already driven to the Keaau tower and it worked there. Turns out they couldn’t legally stop service on the frequency my old phone used, so they turned the transmission power down to a one block radius, hoping those of us on that frequency would upgrade. (I wore down the customer service reps until they finally connected me with a high level super-tech support agent in Nova Scotia, in the middle of the night, and she said, OK... you didn’t hear this from me, but...)
