Yes, he may be. But, still, what percent of the over all electorate is that? After all here, in Hawaii, where there really isn't a competitive two party system, our primaries settle most contests.
As to BJ's chances? You gotta recognize that he doesn't know much about how to do the job he's applying for. By his credentials he's not much more than muscle.. the bouncer at the door.. through whom his mother is vicariously continuing to pursue her failed dreams of being a politician. But BJ, himself? I think his chances are about as good as there are people who would vote for someone on popularity alone, and, who favor his kind of popularity. And, as much as I am sure there are a bunch of MAGA types hereabouts that are itching to support that kind of thing, I too doubt they add up to ten percent of the entire (all parties included) vote.
But hey, we'll know soon enough.
