I suspect Chas is principled enough not to delete everyone else's comments unless they give permission or say it's OK to do that.

You weren't principled enough to do that.  You didn't ask my permission to delete your thread, and now you expect others to ask permission? 

If you want certain guidelines, shouldn't you lead by example?  Still waiting for you to answer my questions that you said you would answer.

Below is an example of how to actually answer a direct question and not skirt around it:

Oh, I will, but why did you say a thread was deleted with all the posts within it? Why would you mention that if it's not a problem?

I don't consider it to be a problem.  I'm assuming you consider it a problem since you brought up the wasted time issue in your deleted thread.  I was merely stating a fact.  

You questioned Kalianna with the following: "Why suggest deleting the thread? Is it because you don't like other people's opinions?"  Isn't that why you deleted your thread?  

It's your own reasoning that has put you in this position.
