Aloha folks, It's taken twelve years to reach this moment... and there is a narrow window to testify on SB 1091. SUPPORT THIS BILL !!
SB 1091 opens the door for a portion of our fuel tax revenue (FTR) to be used to maintain our private subdivision roads... WHICH DESPERATELY NEED HELP.
Mahalo,
Rob
The Ways and Means committee will be hearing, SB1091 RELATING TO COUNTIES, tomorrow March 1st, 2023 at 10:10am.
I have provided the instructions on how to submit testimony:
You can submit testimony online at the Hawaii State Capitol Website.
Here is the status page for SB1091. Measure Status (hawaii.gov)
You can only submit testimony on a bill once it has been scheduled for a hearing.
If you have not already, you can register at the Hawaii State Legislature’s website to submit testimony. The link to register is here: https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/account/login.aspx?return=/account/measuretracking.aspx
Once you’ve registered and signed in, go to the bill you are interested in submitting testimony for at the state capitol’s website: capitol.hawaii.gov
You can search for the bill in the upper right hand text box next to select search type. FYI – if you are just searching for a current bill, you don’t actually have to use a dropdown selection from the “select search type” box – you can just enter in the bill number in the box next to it and it should take you to the bill page.
On the bill page, there will be an orange button labeled “Submit Testimony” and that will take you where you can either attach a pdf or word document of your testimony or even just write out your recommendations in a text box. OR JUST CLICK SUPPORT.
