Easy!  Just import them from the mainland for $11k/week.

Not mentioned in that article was that wasn't even for a 40 hour week. I can remember the exact number (my daughter was offered to be a strike nurse) but it was in the 30s.  Maybe it was 40 hours considering the daily bus ride from Waikiki and back.
