Dear Mr. ‘elipaio,
Once again, you share your undying love of all of humanity, in addition to your love of all animals, domesticated as well as feral, and yes, AstraZeneca has taken its first developed vaccine off the market due to it being replaced with better and newer vaccines that have been further developed as the virus has mutated and changed so in effect, the AstraZeneca vaccine more or less became obsolete.
Having over 3 billion doses administered all over the world, at significant financial loss to AstraZeneca they had decided over a year ago to discontinue its manufacture since newer more updated vaccines were being developed and released.
At no time was there ever a shortage and was always available upon request, but rarely used since the influx of much more effective and updated vaccines were available.
Again, I thank you on behalf of all of Puna, Hilo and Hawaii for your informative post and caring so deeply for all of us.
You are the embodiment and shining example of todays humanity!
