What's really sad is when the ripped lots sit there and get overrun
Agree 100% Chunkster. Sadly, there are a bunch of those sad overrun lots still sitting since the last crash. The sky has never fallen, but real estate cycles are the norm. It's not just HPP. My Puna homeowner bias would prefer things just keep rising too but I can't bury my head in the sand.
That particular lot is owned by Paul Derbyshire who is a well known, long time builder in, and resident of HPP.
He is known for building the non-cookie cutter, custom features kind of speculative homes in HPP. Major price reductions are happening in that category.
If you like deep diving into the data, this is a really fun site. https://map.reventure.app
