DOE hit a first-time ever glitch in payroll and HTSA got to raise some stink over it, which is what you want your union to do. As long as the pay advances get to those who need them, things will keep on keeping on, in that unique way they do in Hawaii.
Then again, maybe you have a point at how unexceptable it is and we should use an emergency tax to hire more accountants for the DOE to make sure this never happens again... let's say higher taxes on second properties and retirees as those assets are looking ripe for the harvest. Won't someone please think of (the staff and infrastructure needed to pay the teachers of) the children? ;)
