Hey, I ain’t kidding about writing a book. I remember the moment I realized I was going to create my first. I was hiking and all of a sudden I realized I had all the parts of a story that readers would appreciate. Then, and it was years ago, maybe ’88, I turned to my hiking companion and said, hey I’m going to write a book. I got all the pics, I know the subject and where all the little historical nuggets are to weave a decent story together, I’m going to create a book. And he, looking at me with a rather whimsical grin, said yeah sure, how ya going to do that? But a few years later I was at my first book’s release shindig, and other books followed, but the memory of the moment I realized I was going to do all that still is the most precious.

And, seriously, you seem to have a handle on the subject matter, you say you have all the pics, and newspaper clippings, gee the original advertising offering the lots for sale have got to be a hoot. In HOVE their original adds offered membership in the HOVE Yacht Club. As if, eh? Is there anything similar with HPP's origins? Perchance is there anything you might share here?

Yes, the original, public offering, is interesting, but not very exciting. David Watumull had nothing to offer (no clubs, water, sewer, electricity) nothing except land and roads. That was it. Just an acre of land, at the time, and a few pretty sad roads. Though his Land-O- Rama campaign, while culturally inappropriate, was a hoot.

I had an FB page and website where many of the docs (including the public offering) were posted. But I took them down. Too much pilikia. Some do not want to acknowledge history, if it might get in their way.
