Bill 123
#18
"“And, as a result, to much of our chagrin now, we’ve seen sprawl out into the agricultural areas across the entire island,” Kimball said Sept. 17. “The intention of this bill is to increase our density in our urban core areas, making sure that people are close to work, close to educational opportunities, close to income opportunities, close to infrastructure.”"

Do we elect these people to herd us like cattle to where they think we belong? Hawaiians were "sprawled" into the agricultural areas across the entire island. They didn't even know they needed a county council to patronize them. What if we want to get out of the city, have a few acres, and grow sustainable food? Is that a cause for chagrin? I can think of a very recent time when the last place most people wanted to be was in increasingly dense, urban core areas. No thanks.

It sounds like Heather has all of the constituents she wants and would prefer that you not move to Hamakua. Mo bettah, you crowd into Hilo, for your own good, of course. The nerve!
I wish you all the best.
