I think it's just bright people making hay while the sun is shining. If your home turf is being "colonized" by retiring Baby Boomers, you can either grumble about it or grab your bootstraps and get paid to solve problems. I see enterprising locals doing entrepreneurial things to lift up themselves and their families. One may disagree with their techniques or not connect with their branding, but you kinda have to admire their industriousness. They are learning, taking risks, working hard, and adding to the stock of housing. What's not to like?
