Hawaiʻi Supreme Court: Farm dwellings in ag district cannot be used as STVRs

They undermine Ag because vacation rentals are much less work and more lucrative than producing a crop is.  

This logic is backwards in terms of encouraging agriculture though. 

Maybe so, but the reality is that the most of the people involved or interested in utilizing their Ag land for short term rentals aren't  doing any farming.
