The driving here on the Big Island is rarely a problem. Try Boston. That place is wacky.
The county contributions to speeding tickets is interesting. For example the highway into Hilo has some rather low speed limits... like 35 mph on a divided highway. Reason. When those neighborhoods were developed the rich landowners did not want to pay for traffic lights.... so CoH lowered the speed limits to accommodate the rich developers and no traffic lights required. And so it goes.
