My understanding the requirement for plywood decking is coming from the wind resistance requirements.
I would have to go through my notes to see if I ever found it explicitely stated...
But like I mentioned before, I don't think there is any way to get the Building Dept do let you go without it...
As for having the metal connectors inspected,,,, I have not called for my rough framing inspection yet.
I'm sure the inpsector will look for those.
But I have been installing them all per code and my plans.. Even adding some extra ones...
I have my trusses up and with be installing the decking and metal roof soon.
It has been slow going because I only get out to the property once a month.

1705.11.1 Complete Load Path and Uplift Ties. Special inspection is required for metal connectors, anchors, or fasteners for wood and cold-formed steel construction at the following locations: roof ridges, roof rafters to beam or wall supports, beams to posts, posts or walls to floor framing or foundation below, ground anchors, and all other connections that are part of the load path to resist uplift forces.
Did you have an inspector come by to inspect these items
