Probably more qualified than people with no training whatsoever in those fields running departments.  WWF?  More like WTF.

the reality of the ongoing bad government choices

Bad government choices hit especially hard in a poor district like Puna, or an area with a large number of ongoing scientific research facilities like Big Island, or places with middle class taxpayers like HPP and Hilo where a minuscule tax break is offered hoping residents don’t notice trillions of $ is going to billionaires. Unfortunately for the bad government planners many of us can count, as can be seen by the numbers who showed up on the streets yesterday.
