Joe, the old owner of the Windward Gun store (in Oahu), would warn his customers what not to do when handling air guns. He must have seen a lot of returns from customers, at least with the stuff that sold for a few hundred of dollars, or less. Joe was MAGA before the prez even coined the term.
How much did Rick charge to do the repair, and did he have to order parts from the manufacturer? Who sells gas cartridges or propellants on the Big Island? Also, who can adjust the rifle for accuracy (best MOA)?

He charges $25/hour. I suggested it should be $50/hour and paid accordingly.

No parts. It was a 6 pellet jam, that would have otherwise needed to be shipped for service to the east coast and back at my cost.

If you are referring to the 80g nitrogen tanks used by the Komplete, I haven’t found any source locally. Mainland online sellers including eBay will sometimes ship. I bought a several year supply. It can use 80g CO2 tanks as well, but there isn’t much cost savings, about 100fps penalty, and the problems of CO2 vs nitrogen.

And I am well aware of why hard core enthusiasts think the Komplete is an expensive TCO absurdity, but it is perfect for my “keeping the pigs from owning our property” from the lanai situation…

Never came across Anschütz in my research. Looks like a fine piece of kit, as they say. Way over my budget, but I can see why you like them!

Cheers,
Kirt
