Costco Same Day Delivery

[Punatang]

OK.
In case my previous warning gets lost in the scrum I’ll repeat it here:

Costco does offer Instacart delivery.
Generally they probably won’t find a driver to deliver smaller orders to the east side of Hawaii Island from Kona.
There have been instances of larger orders getting hijacked by scammer delivery people. (Emphasis Mine)

Buyer beware.

This was probably just a few isolated cases of necessitas non habet legem, in no small part due to the oppressive nature of taxing these hard working, poor people's tips when they are just trying to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.  Finally, people driving Instacart orders out to Puna, who might be much like like Door Dash Granny, will be able to keep more of their hard earned tips.  As a result, your Instacart order from Costco in Kona to somewhere in Puna, is now more likely to arrive complete and on time.

While I'm sure your first world, poor white dude problem of experiencing a loss here and there so that your neighbors, who are trying to pull themselves up by the bootstraps do not starve, is inconvenient, Proverbs: 6:30-31 reminds us of what for most of us is self evident and this is that people do not despise a thief who steals to satisfy hunger (although it does call for restitution - go figure).

Having read, in these Punaweb pages, the many signals of your big, virtuous  heart, and your propensity toward appropriation, it is fair to conclude that you would not begrudge a starving neighbor who ignores your "no trespassing" sign and helps themselves to some of your excess of breadfruit. Even if you did object and despise your starving neighbor, they would likely be supported in law if it is an immediate and essential need for nourishment.

The great news is that Puna Boomertics from Grannys on down to Gen - Z are all seeing their lot improved now that tax time is here and for that we can all be grateful.  More hard earned cash will be circulating in Puna at local business and lifting all boats. Lift a glass of Kirkland Crown ( I hear it's better than the real thing) this evening and perhaps crack open some Thomas Aquinas and/or enjoy reading or watching the story of Jean Valjean's appropriation of a loaf of bread in Victor Hugo's Les Míserables.  Be thankful for your good fortune and try not to begrudge the occasional theif.
