Hawaii Socialist Democrat Movement Fails to Gain Traction.
#17
Star-Advertiser trying to shoehorn in Hawaii's Democratic primaries into a large national narrative about DSA candidates

It’s not difficult to read the article to see whether the label fits the package.

Did any of the candidates in the Star Advertiser article call themselves DSA?  Or will that label get readers on their website to click for more (advertising)?  As unfortunate as that that is true, it would be even worse if people don’t click through, because they won’t read the article that disproves the headline, but will still think that one sentence headline has informed them on the subject matter.  It did inform them, but incorrectly.  It could even lead someone who is a one sentence reader, or a person who reads without comprehension to post the misleading story on Punaweb, continuing the dumbing down of Hawaii.

Here’s another example of why you should read with comprehension, slowly if necessary. Was Tulsi Gabbard a Democrat?  Or did she understand that labeling herself a Democrat is how you get elected in Hawaii?  If you voted for her and thought you were getting a Democrat, then like Rick in the movie Casablanca, who came to Morocco for the waters, in the desert, it’s only later, much later, that you discover you were misinformed.
