Time to plant salad gardens
#1
Aloha Punatics!

Anyone else out there planting salad gardens now? Generally early fall is a good time to plant salad gardens for greens and beans and such. The plants will grow a bit slower since there's less sun, but it isn't as hot so the plants don't bolt. Also they have time to get established before the winter rains come.

The U of H has some nice seeds:

The "home packets" are $1.00 each and I think that covers postage, too. Good prices, especially for seen which is pre-selected for our climate.

Well, gotta go put up some bean trellis.

A hui hou,
Cathy
