Domestic VIOLENCE
#11
Mahalo for your replies. Yes, I know how dangerous a "domestic" is. I'm a survivor from the 1970's, when domestic violence still meant homefront riots, not violence in the home. However, if someone were drowning, would you not try to save them because you might drown? I’m not proposing anyone risk their lives, I'm simply saying to stay there until the police come. Gather a crowd, usually a perpetrator will back off & at least not kill the victim in front of witnesses. That's exactly what we did & stayed a safe distance away; it took 20 minutes out of my life, which I gladly gave. Afterward, it made me feel absolutely wonderful to help.
Sorry if the rant sounded angry, but it's more like frustration at the continuing violence here on my island home.

As for testifying, 3 of us (objective witnesses) were standing there & the 3 police officers never talked to us or took statements.
