New Cell Towers in Pahoa (Hawaiian Shores and HPP)

Beachboy:

Don't forget to thank the people living next to the tower for getting cancer, etc., so you can have better reception.

FYI, I'm not a "retired baby boomer." I'm not smoking crack (last I checked), and I'm pretty worldly. I have lived in Seattle, Malibu, Colorado Springs, San Antonio, Austin, Stuttgart (Germany), Santa Cruz, Sacramento, and here.

Most of those urban areas have great iPhone reception.

But don't worry, I don't "resent progress in any shape or form". I like having electricity. I having running water, Internet access, cable TV. But those things aren't giving me or my neighbors cancer. My neighbors who do smoke are far enough away from my lot that I'm pretty sure they're just giving themselves cancer. And I really don't have any traffic down my road, and no VOG either. It seems to blow the OTHER way most of the time.

So right now NOTHING is a threat to my health or the health of my wife and 9 month old son here, except the SUN. We know how to deal with that, either don't go out in it, or put on some sublock.

But now a cell tower is planned to go up, and "legally", they are safe. But in "reality", they GIVE PEOPLE CANCER. I don't know what that has to to with racial aggression, so maybe you can explain that for me.

I hope my point is clear. Right now things are great. I just don't want a big ugly cancer tower in my neighborhood.

Remember, they used to think smoking cigarettes was safe, too.

Glenn
Time is an illusion, but a handy one. Without it, we would not be able to hear sounds, and without that ability, we would have no music.
