Quite true but not strictly Amerikan. Remember the following?
Genghis Khan
The vikings
Virtually all the medieval and renaissance Popes and kings
Mohammed (read his history. It's got it all)
Shaka Zulu
The middle eastern Biblical Kingdoms
The Egyptian Dynasties
The Plains Indians
The Aztecs
The Incas
The Mayans
The original Crossers of the Bering Strait(they destroyed an entire ecosystem)
the original Australian Aborigines 50,000 years ago( they also destroyed an entire ecosystem)
ditto the Maori in New Zealand
Ditto the original Hawaiians
And lastly but not least
King Kamahameha
Blood, sex, war, greed, lust etc at all too human.
Buddha teaches us to put these aside.
Peace be unto you.
