Satellite watchers and government leaders expect a spy satellite to crash to Earth sometime in the next several weeks, but experts say it's unlikely the debris poses any risk.....The chances of someone being struck by a re-entering object are slight," the fact sheet states. "Only about 25% of the Earth's landmass is actually inhabited. If the object is forecast to make landfall in North America or Hawaii, the JSpOC [Joint Space Operations Center] will notify the Federal Emergency Management Agency and/or Public Safety Canada."
