How open and tolerant should Punaweb be?
#29
Yea, what they all said...

Tolerant? - I think that 2 banned in 5 years shows an extreme tolerance.

Open? - Over the years, Punaweb has evolved - Building, Non Classified, Farm & Garden sections have been added. I suspect it will grom more. Two suggestions for perhaps "temporary" forums =

"The DogHouse" You move questionable (in your opinion) posts here for a probationary period (maybe 3 days). If cleaned up, they move back, if not, they disappear.

"The Water Cooler" A temporary forum that gets opened for a preset limited time to discuss a single, limited, perhaps controversial topic, ie the national elections as relates to Hawaii. At predetermined time/event, this forum is cleaned out until next topic.

Back in the day, I read each and every post. It's been quite awhile since I've done that, avoiding certain topics for whatever reason or like the Farm and Garden forum, I just don't get to it yet due to my priorities, but hope someday to scan through it all. Temp forums like I suggested might be avoided by some, because they know what's there and chose to avoid.

Someone suggested coffee? - is there a Puna party in the air? [Big Grin]
