How open and tolerant should Punaweb be?
#33
Rob, when reading that "other" thread started about the PW...I thought to myself, "don't bite." Unfortunately when there's hateful stuff said and attacks on the underdog, I tend to jump in to defend. I didn't do it this time because you have reminded me about trolls and people who like to get our dander up.

Like so many others, Tony and I would not be here were it not for PunaWeb. We learned so much in the early months and have opened ourselves up to several kind and generous people from this forum.

You know I don't care for blanket statements about any culture or gender. It's nice to be able to learn something from others.

Yes, I have a large number of posts. Most of them from the early months, when we were "researching" our home in Puna. Sometimes I feel a giggle coming on and have to let it out. Punaweb is a great place for that too. I don't post just to see the number go up. The number isn't even a factor to me. In my mind, a thread can be much like a conversation, where we can banter back and forth a little and talk story.

There are many personalities in life as on this forum. I think we can all play together and certainly many of us have been dope slapped a couple of times by other members. So we get over it and move on. Dope slaps we can handle and still go to a Punaweb party and break bread. It's the uncontrolled spewing of venom that is hard to tolerate.

You're doing great Rob...no butt-kissing intended.[Big Grin][Big Grin]
