Cancel the contract. They probably are trying to flip the lot while in escrow. There is no such a thing as "extension after extension" and you probably only have a 30-day extension in the contract. They most likely are just releasing some(?) of their earnest money deposit from escrow to you, knowing they would lose it anyway. They are just buying time. They defaulted on the contract and you should get all the money in escrow.
