So it looks as though our government is giving us a little run around with their story about the Danger that the fuel on board poses.
From what I just read here
The fuel inside is toxic.....there's only a slight chance there would be any fuel left when it hits.....there's a bigger issue at hand. "It has very sophisticated monitoring instruments on it, very sophisticated images, a lot of very sophisticated equipment and that's the real concern that the stuff could survive reentry and the wrong folks could get a hold of it," ........the government would rather shoot down the satellite than take the chance of it crashing somewhere like China.
