My neighbor snared a pig last night. He said he learned how as part of a survival course in the military. Amazing to catch such a large animal with what seems to be a small bit of string!
If a pig is trapped so it can't run off, a twenty two is fine to shoot it with. One really well placed shot will drop it, but usually it will take two shots. A higher caliber really wrecks the carcass, though.
