lol, pets have some of the funniest personalities! 
We have a rottweiler, 3 cats and 2 chickens. The cats haven't made it over yet, but they're sure to love it. Sadie (our dog) sits with the chickens, and our mother hen goes right up to Sadie and sits with her in the evenings on the lawn. I can't believe how well the dog gets along with the other animals. The cats rub up against her and get baths from her, and she's totally devoted to our family... people, pets and all!
However she is very protective of her domain (ie. the house and yard as well as the car when she's in it!) but once someone comes through our door, they're her new BFF! hehehe..
