raising a calf ???

I have a 1/3 acre barb wire fenced pasture that I'm having to mow. I can't think of what to put in it - wire too big for sheep; want to keep pasture, so no fruit trees or garden; don't want it going wild, I'm stymied about what to do w/ it. I thought maybe a calf weener; any suggestions?
