Aloha Kakou,
I figured sooner or later someone would ruffle their feathers again. Its been awhile since I commented I though Id let the dust settle and go about business as usual. For those of you who made it out over the past couple months what a show we've had. As for problems at the ramp they ended months ago. To bring you all up to speed there have been 3 other operations start up & god only knows how many unpermitted charters who have no licenses, permits or insurance to boot with far less experience than us. One has a rubber raft boat need I say more, the other a Parasail boat Id expect to see on a lake, and one a good old twin hulled cat like our smaller boat the LavaKat. Our Crew consists of myself Shane Turpin a 100 Ton Captain, Dan Smith a seasoned boater/fisherman/master mechanic, Scoch Pomroy an excellent waterman/fisherman born of the Islands & has fished Pohoiki since the early 1980's & local waterman guide 100 ton Captain Keoni Erickson, and our operations specialist Kieth Starkey. A team prepared to give you the expereince to a lifetime at the lava ocean entry. After 2 years of running we have taken 1000's of people to view this special occurance with no major injuries or mishaps. To make it more safe & comfortable we now run the larger vessel the LavaKai from Pohoiki. For those who haven't been out yet Im sorry you want to miss out on one of the most influential tours currently running in Hawaii. Heres a link to some recent stuff shot aboard the Lava Kai. Enjoy
