Hey Kathy,
I took the liberty of doing some minor editing to your reply, which was kind, to show how someone would reply in a manner that might depict that of concern about the spelling and culture without coming off as someone wanting find fault or at the least being condescending.
With that said I'll say thanks and the way you put it makes me want to use the correct spelling. Personally I don't care for the word and am more mad at myself for using it as opposed to my bad spelling. I don't like it just like Hawaiians don't like Moak.
