One thing (of many) that folks might discuss and debate is how much wealth a legal, regulated cannabis industry would bring to the people of the Big Island and Puna.
Hundreds of millions of dollars per year? More?
If it's a one billion dollar a year industry in Holland, would the number for Hawaii be higher?
Considering our weather, location (Mainland US, Asia) and panache and I'd say quite possibly.
How could we use the (enormous) tax revenues?
