A new road through Paradise Park (??)

I am working on tthe Puna Community Development Plan and have heard a lot about how HPP hates the idea of a new roadway through HPP which would serve as an alternative route through Puna Makai.

I would like to hear from actual residents of HPP on the subject in lieu of listening to rumors and stories.

If you live in HPP could you express the reasons for your support or resistance to such a proposal? Exactly what is it you might like or dislike about the idea?
