looking for Trumpet flower (datura) starts

The treelike shrub angel trumpets, brugmansia, are South American daturas. They grow great from cuttings as was said. In fact, even back in California I had a length of stalk that was lying in the yard for months and then it sprouted.

I bought a purple ruffled datura of the common jimsonweed type a few years ago from either Paradise Plants or Garden Exchange, and it did OK for a few months but then died. Perhaps they don't like the conditions here, I'm not sure. I don't kill many plants, at least not in Hawai'i. [Big Grin]
