Damon... This is a small community, there is no reason Rep. Hanohano is not more accessible to everyone.
Have you tried to access her?
I have never had troubles talking to her. I drive by her at least once a day.
She is at Black Rock Cafe about 4 mornings of the week talking to anyone that approaches her.
If ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO ARRANGE A MEETING WITH HER... I'm sure I could personally get one scheduled with her for you within a 7 day time span if she's not on Oahu at the time.... (And I don't work for her)
Just because she may not show up at many events... does not mean that it's not on her mind. She and her longtime Boyfriend is also going through some major health issues that hasn't been made too public.
I understand she's a public figure in the State... and I understand that my personal feelings about her... obviously influence my thoughts on what I say about her...
But I do think she's getting a pretty unfair rap here in this thread by a few people who don't understand the complexities of the legislature.
Question:
Would PUNA do better with a Republican in office that has ALL of their IDEAS AUTOMATICALLY shut down because they are a republican... Or would PUNA get served better with a Democrat that other Legislatures would listen to and stand behind the bills that are presented from Puna?
Remember... Republicans are pretty much laughed at when it comes to presenting ANYTHING at the legislature right now and I'm still trying to remember a Bill that a Republican pressed that actually came into law within the last last 8 sessions.... but I just can't off the top of my head. Maybe someone can help me with that.
