Is small farming profitable?

Lavender chocolate? That sounds interesting! I got a few starts of lavender from Waimea last weekend, we will see if they will thrive at the farm. If they do, I'll put in a lot of lavender and see about honey made from lavender nectar.

We did catch a swarm of bees the day before yesterday, so tomorrow I'm going out to the farm to set up a bee site so the hive can be relocated when my friend with a truck gets back from Southpoint on Thursday night. Somehow driving a hive of bees around in the van with me just doesn't quite seem the thing. Guess I'll need a small trailer to move hives on.
