I've been watching the to and fro on this subject with some amusement. It is in the nature of mankind to want to believe in 'magic cures' and to subscribe to conspiracy theories (stuff 'they' don't want you to know, etc.)However, two basic rules are still as valid as ever."If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" and a quote from Phineas T. Barnum of Barnum and Bailey Circus fame "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public". That said, there is some evidence that the power of the mind can exert stong influence over the body, such that if you believe something works strongly enough, then there may be a short term improvement in whatever ails you, but eventually we all die one way or another.
