HPP.... fifty years ago today

Back in the day, there was only one road in and out, Paradise Drive and there was a chain across the entrance. Mostly to keep people from littering as it was a popular picnic spot out on the rocks. Now, of course with "Beach Access" there is no way they would block the streets. The Shipmans used this area for cattle grazing. One of the Shipman sons would regularly set fires to insure that trees were not growing there before the agreement was made for HPP.
