Bench & Field Holistic Natural Canine Formula
#15
Been hesitant to chime in, but what the heck..[Big Grin], being a boxer person these past 16 years and currently feeding 4 of them...

Besides visiting PW, I also visit a boxer forum. In addition to being boxer people, 2 other traits seem rampant of that forum:
1: It is well populated with food snobs.[8][8][8]
2: Many write about their boxer eating sensitivities and problems.[:0][:0][:0]

I personally think the two are related, just not in the fashion that would be popular there [Wink]
IMHO, Boxers as a breed are as healthy and hearty as most any purebred.

As for feeding ours, we switched to Costco's Kirkland Chicken, rice, & vegetables about 2 years ago. Everyone seems to be doing well on it. No ones ever been to the vet for anything food related. Over time, I have come to realize that products with significant corn meal resulted in a bigger aftermeal pickup.[V]

As for home cooking - basically our dogs eat what we eat plus their kibble to round it out. I don't believe in cooking special for them, but, for example, if Soph and I are having eggs and sausage for breakfast, they each get an egg and sausage as well. I do draw the line - they don't get to drink my beer and if I didn't ration their potato chips, I wouldn't get any. I wish they would learn to peel their own fruit. [^] I never snack off their raw bones we sometimes get them.

Note to SH: If you can get TJ to Kona, the Konifornians will canonize you. LOL
