I think everyone should pay attention to the bill proposed and understand that it is not intended to be and will not be a total ban on disposable plastic bags. It is a step in reducing the disposable plastic bag waste stream.
So before you all jump to misinformed conclusions read up on the subject please.
Also: If your garden is being attacked by gophers, aphids, slugs, snails and weeds you will have to decide, if you value your garden, which threat or problem to deal with first and which second. Arguing about which effort to start with or which threat is the worst just results in arguing... and nothing gets done.
For the history of man humankind has been working to protect ourselves from nature. We are just beginning to realize, that with over six billion of us and counting up, we may just have to protect nature from humankind. That is if we care about our children's future.
