Paul, you crack me up.
I've made my prediction, and it's quantifiable. I've got the modesty to predict that in spite of the fact over the last decade I've made a very significant portion of my income in investment speculation, including last year following "incorrect" projections--I don't think I can pull any off this year. When it comes to valuing projections YTD yields that number is the only one I personally care about, but I've got the good taste not to ask people how well their guesses have worked out for them. Sure, by your measure "wrong," by mine--well I couldn't have been more pleased. You're welcome to play your own personal game; others may be less interested. In disclosure, I've completely sold out now and have taken a vacation. In all modesty, my projection was and is that I've not the insight to make accurate projections for this year. So I won't. I'll leave that glory up to others. Who knows, maybe I'll be wrong about that too, and I'll actually make one that turns out to be correct. . .I'm sure you'll be the first to point that out. LOL.
Come on, there's a difference between a fight and a conversation. A fight is two people each trying to personally win. A conversation is two people attempting to mutual move towards a greater understanding of the issues at hand. I'm all about the later. These are serious issues and they're of importance to a lot of people. I'm doing my best in good faith to attempt to keeps what are difficult and frightening topics for many as constructive as possible. I'd appreciate a hand in that. These issues matter. Bad projections in personal lives have cost many plenty--at our state and local levels our teachers and kids especially have been clobbered hard by bad budgetary projections. We're very likely to face even greater revenue shortfalls this year than last, and it's important to think about how to deal with that. (whoops, a projection.) We as individuals will need to pick up the slack and it's a shame to let petty ideology get in the way of preparing for this inevitable task.
That's about enough of that. Now I'll go back to discussing how to grow green tea with the radical revolutionaries. . .
