TMT Work to Resume Says Ige!
Lessons to be learned:

Yapping in chat rooms is worthless, talk is cheap! If one strongly believes in a cause, then one must get the okole unglued from the couch and go out there and show up!

What is next? A Hawaiian kingdom peddled by a small bunch of welfare recipients? You bet your behind! And we will have no idea as how it happened!

How does Hawaiian kingdom get coupled with welfare recipients?

Does the Hawaiian Kingdom have industry, jobs, a tax base?

I respectfully suggest that the 'Thirty Meter Telescope' or TMT, be renamed the "Thirty Meter Maunakea Heritage Telescope" or TMMHT.

I am not making a joke.

It is not an accusation, it is a well known fact.

There is a response to that: plan a, b and c is called Federal Government, plus getting their hands on all the revenues from exploiting Madam Pele's home grounds... God forbid they make a stand on geothermal!, that bit of mythology only comes handy when haoles homes are at peril.

I'm tired of posting the same information over and over again only for those too lazy or inept to read it. Go back three pages in this thread, I posted the link to the TMT site testing campaign there.

The TMT opponents block workers from maintaining construction equipment then complain about it not being maintained. And then try to spread misinformation. The site has been mapped. There's no burials there. TMT has a lease and the Attorney General says the machines can stay. What does that say about the confidence of the permit being reissued?

This is where the whole world wants to put the TMT. Move aside losers.

One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.

Nothing. It only says that TMT has a valid lease, and may engage in any activities that do not require additional permits, such as storage of vehicles.

Note that nobody has mentioned the fact that TMT management already left the island several months ago when it became clear that groundbreaking would not be happening any time soon -- it's probably difficult to backfill these positions without actual construction permits, so they'll need even more months to restart, assuming valid permits are ever issued in the first place.
