Now I'm the least self-aware person you can think of.

For crying out loud, give it a rest. You're not doing yourself any favors by posting this nonsense.

Look, I am what I am, and if you are too damned incapable of understanding that, believing that or whatever, I could care less. To you I may be an "irrelevant sideshow," but to me you are irrelevant.

And yes, you are the a$$hole here at PunaWeb.

Word of the day: Narcissism

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental health condition in which people have an unreasonably high sense of their own importance. They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them. People with this disorder may lack the ability to understand or care about the feelings of others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence, they are not sure of their self-worth and are easily upset by the slightest criticism.

A narcissistic personality disorder causes problems in many areas of life, such as relationships, work, school or financial matters. People with narcissistic personality disorder may be generally unhappy and disappointed when they're not given the special favors or admiration that they believe they deserve. They may find their relationships troubled and unfulfilling, and other people may not enjoy being around them.

A more fuller description of our narcissistic's condition is at the link above.

If only that were true.

"The constant drone of "The Green Regime" and all that blather, while staying completely silent"

I have a problem with the logic being presented here and that's before we get to the "Lucifer in the flesh" stuff.

I'm quite sure you have a problem with logic however; I could simply care less. Blaming Josh Green for the issues of LNG, while turning a blind eye towards the billions of dollars of federal cuts for other non-fossil fueled alternative energy options is beyond ridiculous and is, as DF stated, nothing more than a real setting up of a false dilemma.

That's part of the problem. I have a problem with the logic, whereas you say "I'm quite sure you have a problem with logic" and then go on to say "I could simply care less".

I hope you go on and do simpler things and care less. Normally, I see "I couldn't care less," which is obvious, but then there's the occasional US version, "I could care less." The latter has come to be regarded as the equivalent of the former. You've found another way to mangle the English language. Congratulations.

Dare you suggest English isn't a mangled mess to begin with? I will care less.

Care less about what?

TomK, quit derailing threads with your blather. There's plenty of whataboutism to go around.

First, I'll excuse, yet again, your insult towards me.

Secondly, I said "I know you have a problem with logic," but YOU think I should have said that "you have a problem with THE logic, because, as you generally do, you do not read and comprehend other people's posts. I said YOU have a problem with logic and that is what I meant.

As for saying that I found another way to mangle the English language with respect to the expression of saying "I could or couldn't care less." well, Doctor, let's see what Merriam Webster says about that shall we, as I think Merriam is a much better resource than you could ever be with respect to the English language. (I added bold and underline to one paragraph to emphasize the critical point and to aid you with your total lack of comprehension)

Is it 'could' or 'couldn't care less'?

What to Know

The dictionary treats could care less as a variant of the older phrase couldn’t care less (meaning that one is not at all concerned about something) because it is so frequently encountered. Logic and grammar are often separate considerations, but many people criticize the use of could care less because it seems illogical.

In an attempt to add another dubious assertion to our collection of rhetorical proclamations, we may state with absolute assurance that there are but two kinds of people in this world: those who feel very angry when someone omits a negative particle in “I couldn’t care less,” and those who don’t give such matters much thought. Is there a meaningful difference between these kinds of people, or these two phrases?

We care just enough to take a look.

Could vs. Couldn't

We define could care less and couldn’t care less on the same page, with the single definition “used to indicate that one is not at all concerned about or interested in something.” We do not put these seemingly disparate idioms on the same page in order to save space, or so that we might cause you pain. We do it because one is simply a variant of the other, and they are used in a synonymous manner.

There is little doubt that couldn’t care less is the older form, although no one is certain where this came from. There has been speculation that it is British in origin, and that American soldiers returning from World War II brought it to these shores. While it may indeed have come from the United Kingdom, there is clear evidence that couldn’t care less was in use prior to the 1940s.

So, in summary, Doc, all you did, yet again, is insult me, offer nothing to the subject matter of the thread, and then in your feeble, narcissistic, arrogant way, tried to prove yourself to be intellectually superior to another, when in reality, all you did was, yet again, make a fool out of yourself.

CONGRATULATIONS!
