To make this clear for those that wisely don't spend time in the alt-right sewers of the internet.  "Bananas and rice" has recently become a meme referring to Somali Americans in Minneapolis (see Fox News, etc) and apple cider vinegar was recently sprayed at Minnesota Rep Omar who is also Somali American. The "bananas and rice" picture that Punatang posted as his breakfast is the exact same one being used on anti-immigration accounts on X/Twitter. All this makes it easy to peg Punatang as a right-wing troll.

If you think it's particularly gross to be claiming "good-faith" and "aloha" while participating in the performative cruelty of this administration, you wouldn't be wrong, as that's clearly what is happening.

Must be a sad life when one plays the fox in sheep's clothing. I am sure his aloha, love and good faith care of the downtrodden poor Hawaii resident, especially those of Hawaiian descent, as well as all other ethnicities is as equal to his fake display of that aloha, love and good faith of someone of Somali descent, including making fun of one being attacked. By a white guy nonetheless.

More bullying from the Punaweb Trolls.  We ate Bananas and Rice for breakfast yesterday.  We eat bananas and rice on the regular.  If you have ever lived with Hawaiians, as I have, you learn to keep rice going at all times and how to put all kinds of things in there to make a quick snack or meal.  I realized, after the fact, that it was just the type of cheap breakfast that might help some of our struggling transplants that need ideas on how to survive here, but I did not take a picture. I was confident that I could get a picture if I typed "bananas and rice" into Perplexity which is a free AI that was introduced to many of us Punawebbers by Ms. Ferret.  The photo I posted did not come from any of the suggested sources. The photo I posted is the first one that comes up when you type "bananas and rice" into Perplexity.

As with many words and phrases, as some pointed out with "Tang", there can be multiple meanings.  Since I'm posting in a local chat about groceries and food, food was my intent.  For those focused on national politics here on our local chat board, and who take every opportunity to troll and bully those who they don't care for, the least obvious meaning is the natural choice if it can be used to disparage and otherwise turn our local chat board in to their national political playground.  

For the record, I am an independent and basically a common sense centrist.  I am not on any toxic forums and in fact this is the only non- professional forum I ever visit.
