I don't have voice service (or at least I don't think I do, I have no need for land line) but I pay the same price and have 7mb service. I've asked a few times about upgrading the speed and have always been told "they are working on adding..."

G.lite doesn't go "faster" unless you're "closer", and Telcom is being very conservative, roughly:

3 miles: 1.7Mbit
2.5 miles: 3Mbit
2 miles: 5Mbit
1.5 miles: 7Mbit
1 mile: 11Mbit

I have seen the 15Mbit and 25Mbit speeds "in town" but not in "the country".
